Handyman work runs about $150 to $1,500 per visit (often $60–$125 an hour). Plumbing and electrical repairs typically land $150 to $4,000 depending on whether it's a fix or a bigger job like a repipe, panel upgrade or generator. Appliance repairs are usually $100 to $600.

Systems

HVAC ranges from a service call to $12,000+ for a full system or heat-pump replacement with ductwork. A roof replacement runs $8,000 to $30,000 depending on material, pitch, size and tear-off.

Remodels

A bathroom remodel is typically $8,000 to $25,000; a kitchen $15,000 to $50,000; and a whole-home renovation $40,000 to $200,000, driven by size, structural work, finishes and the age of the home.
